Professor Kerry Bone is known throughout the world as a leading author, educator, researcher and advocate for natural medicines. In addition to his many academic and research accomplishments he is also a successful practicing clinician with over 30 years' experience. This seminar specifically focuses on the secrets of Kerry's clinical success and will provide you with invaluable insights into building and growing a successful naturopathic practice.
In the preparation of this seminar, Kerry has distilled, from his more than 30 years of clinical experience, the essential habits and observances of a good naturopathic clinician. These have been refined into six game-changing practices. For Kerry, adherence to these six key factors was the critical factor in building a thriving practice in place of one that struggled. These key factors were also integrated into the practice of Kerry's close associate Berris Burgoyne who will be presenting two of the seminars in this series. Her 26 year clinical career has been built on many of the fundamentals passed onto her from Kerry and her wealth of experience will be shared with her audiences in her presentations.
Throughout this seminar, each essential game-changing practice is thoroughly explained with key examples. These strategies will be followed by a discussion around how to make the most out of key information resources available to you as a practitioner, including a live demonstration of effective use of the PubMed website.
This seminar will also explore a fresh and innovative look at what the naturopathic clinician aims to achieve and target at the clinical coalface. The exciting new concept of Functional Phytotherapy, rooted in tradition but informed and elaborated by modern thinking about disease and health, will be discussed. Beginning with the philosophy of Samuel Thomson and the Physiomedicalists, who were in fact early proponents of Functional Medicine, five key features of practicing Functional Phytotherapy will be covered. Within this, 12 core strategies will be outlined and key herbs discussed to deliver each therapeutic target. This discussion will also include and how to approach some more complex diseases using this model.
For any practitioner wanting to get a first-hand insight into the clinical practices of Kerry Bone and Berris Burgoyne's combined lifetime of experience, attending this seminar is a must.
