Lactation Cookies to Help with Milk Supply

To celebrate World Breastfeeding Week, we are sharing our favourite lactation cookie recipe! Packed with galactagogue foods to boost breastmilk supply, they are also delicious and easy to make. Enjoy!


Ingredients


  • 125g butter (softened)
  • 3/4 cup coconut sugar or brown sugar
  • 1 egg
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla paste/extract
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/2 cup flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/4 cup LSA or flaxseed meal
  • 2 Tablespoons Brewers Yeast
  • 1 cup dark chocolate chips


Method


  1. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees C
  2. Beat softened butter, coconut/brown sugar, egg and vanilla together
  3. Add all remaining dry ingredients except the chocolate chips and mix well
  4. Stir in chocolate chips
  5. Roll tablespoonfuls into balls, place on a lined tray and gently flatten
  6. Bake for 8-10 minutes
  7. Enjoy 2-3 per day to help with supply
